So three of us had birthdays in the last couple of weeks, cementing this band's position as a virgo-heavy collection of neurotic self-analyzers and over-thinkers. Despite this fact, we're happy to announce that work on our first album is steadily under way, with the bed tracks all done and the additional parts planned for the next few weeks, schedules permitting. It's a lot of fun watching an album take shape; the ideas gradually begin to crystallize and the songs come into f0cus, often in surprising and unexpected ways. The personality of the band, as yet somewhat nebulous, is also starting to assert itself as the songs not only reflect our musical identity - shared and individual - but also begin to define the future of the band. This month we focus on the record and the preparations for a big wedding gig in the Beauce at the end of September. Everyone's busy with his or her own projects of course, but the more we play together the greater the fusion and cohesion, and the brighter the future appears!
